GeO Gospel Choir have been hitting the right note with their ‘new gospel’ sound at weddings and major life celebrations. LifetimesMAG caught up with them to find out more…
Q: Tell us about the GeO Gospel Choir…
“We’re a Scottish, family-run brand hosting a collection of the UK’s most talented vocalists, now bringing our ‘new gospel’ sound to YOU!
“The focus of GeO Gospel Choir work is on luxury weddings and events. However, we are not your typical gospel choir – while we still perform traditional favourites like ‘Oh Happy Day’ and ‘Joyful, Joyful’, we also perform current and contemporary songs with a gospel twist.
“A few of our favourites include ‘Say You’ll Be There’ by the Spice Girls, Kygo & Whitney’s ‘Higher Love’ and ‘Shallow’ from A Star Is Born.”
Q: How did you get into this line of work and this industry?
“Since we were young, the three of us have always sung together for our family and friends at weddings and birthdays. Individually we’ve performed all over the world in touring productions, West End shows and on board luxury cruise ships.
“However, after 18 years of working in the entertainment industry, choir director and oldest sibling Gerad decided to start us on a new adventure and the GeO Gospel Choir was born nearly two years ago.”
Q: How do you offer your clients a unique experience?
“We aim to create something bespoke and unique for each and every one of our clients. Each couple has the option to request a song of their choice, then we would write a gospel arrangement around this song for their special day.
“We love being able to add our gospel magic to create something personable and leave our clients with a moment of magic they’ll never forget.”
Q: How can people find out more about you?
“You can check out our socials or head on over to our website for more information on our gospel wedding packages, live performances and listen to a few of our original gospel arrangements.”
