Instructions for submitting your words and pictures:

If you order a ‘Front Cover Only’ please send an email to info@lifetimesmag.com including:

- Your Unique Access Code in the subject line of the email;
- At least four high-resolution images to be considered for your Front Cover (at least 2,000K (2mb) each, if possible);
- The information you would like us to include on the front cover. If you have ordered the Gazette Front Cover, tell us at least six bullet points or sentences about the person (or people) and/or the occasion featured on your Front Page, including at least two sentences in each bullet point.

Please note that the customer - NOT LifetimesMAG or Lifetimes Publishing - is responsible for ensuring the pictures that are delivered to LifetimesMAG are copyright and licence-free, and available for LifetimesMAG to use. In submitting pictures and information to LifetimesMAG, the customer is confirming that they have been given approval to use these pictures and information in a LifetimesMAG by the original copyright-holder.

If you have ordered an 8, 12 or 16-page magazine, please follow the below instructions:

a) Pictures

Once you have placed your order and received your 'Order Details' email, please send the required number of pictures to the following address: pictures@lifetimesmag.com with your Unique Access Code in the subject line of each email.
You can also share your pictures with pictures@lifetimesmag.com via dropbox.

Even if a picture looks fine on a computer screen, it must be of a sufficiently high resolution (sharpness) to avoid looking low quality on printed paper.

It is easy to check out the resolution of a picture you are planning to send to us via email. Simply open up a new email and attach the picture. When it has attached, it should show you the ‘size’ of the picture by showing a number next to the name of the attachment.

  • - If a picture has a size is less than 150K, we will not be able to use it in the LifetimesMAG.
  • - If a picture has a size of less than 400K, we will only be able to use it as a small picture.
  • - If a picture has a size of more than 400K, we should be able to use it in a medium-sized picture slot.
  • - If a picture has a size of more than 1,000K (1mb), we should be able to use it in a large picture slot.
  • - If a picture has a size of more than 2,000K (2mb), we should be able to use it in any picture slot size in the LifetimesMAG (including a full page).

So please email us as many pictures that are at least 2,000K (2mb) as possible.
 
We require:
- At least 25 and no more than 35 high-resolution pictures for an eight-page magazine
- At least 35 and no more than 50 high-resolution pictures for a 12-page magazine
- At least 50 and no more than 60 high-resolution pictures for a 16-page magazine

If there are any pictures you would particularly like to be included, please mention so in the body of the email as restrictions on space mean we might not be able to include every picture that is sent to us. Additionally, if you would like captions to be included on the pictures, please state the name(s) of the person(s) in the pictures.

Please note that we will not start designing your LifetimesMAG until we receive an email from you to pictures@lifetimesmag.com, with the Unique Access Code in the subject line, with the words NO MORE PICTURES in the body of the email.

Please check in your email outbox that all of your picture emails have been sent before you send your NO MORE PICTURES confirmation email.

 

b) Instructions for submitting your words:

Once you have placed your order and received your 'Order Details' email, to enable us to write the articles for your LifetimesMAG, you need to log in to the Client Area, using your email address and your Unique Access Code, in order to answer questions that have been tailored for your occasion.

If you would like comments from other people to be included in your LifetimesMAG, share your email address and Unique Access Code with friends/family members and they can also log on to the Client Area and answer tailored questions. A maximum of eight friends/family members can answer questions, but please note that restrictions on space might mean some comments are not included.

Please note that we will only begin to write the articles for your LifetimesMAG when you have clicked on the box that says ‘Everyone has provided their answers – Process my order’ and then pressed the button that says ‘Process my order’.

You may need to alter your spam folder settings to receive emails from LifetimesMAG.

 

Refund policy: 

As each LifetimesMAG is made to order and customised, Lifetimes Publishing cannot offer a refund on any order. In the unlikely event that a LifetimesMAG is damaged or torn when it is delivered to the customer, arrangements will be made for the damaged magazine or magazines to be returned to the address listed under 'Company details' below and Lifetimes Publishing will send the required number of re-printed magazine(s) to the customer. This does not affect your statutory rights.

 

Currencies:

Lifetimes Publishing can only accept payments in GBP (Great Britain Pounds).

 

Other terms and conditions:

Lifetimes Publishing reserves the right to edit out any racist, homophobic, abusive or offensive language, comments or pictures that have been provided.

  1. Lifetimes Publishing reserves the right to edit or condense answers provided by interviewees, as long as the overall meaning of the words has not been altered.
  2. Lifetimes Publishing will take all reasonable steps to avoid errors and mistakes when presenting the content, with a sub-editor and proofreader checking the content after it has been provided by the writer, but Lifetimes Publishing cannot guarantee that there will be no spelling or grammatical errors in a LifetimesMAG.
  3. Customers of Template LifetimesMAG orders will not be able to able to request changes, alterations or additions to the LifetimesMAG once the online questionnaires have been submitted and the customer has clicked the ‘Everyone has provided their answers – Process my order’ button and the required number of pictures have been delivered via dropbox or to pictures@lifetimesmag.com with a message that states – NO MORE PICTURES in the body of the email.
  4. Customers will be able to request changes to details in the LifetimesMAG, but not the general layout, design or wording of the articles. Pictures can be replaced if ones of sufficient print quality are provided.
  5. With Template LifetimesMAG orders, Lifetimes Publishing reserves the right to arrange the pictures and words into a layout that our expert designers and writers believe is best for the appearance of the magazine.
  6. Any instructions accompanying the pictures (such as please use this on the front page) will however be taken into consideration. All reasonable attempts will be made to accommodate requests regarding the pictures and comments delivered to us, but certain restrictions on space and picture quality may mean that not all requests can be fulfilled.
  7. With a Bespoke LifetimesMAG order, Lifetimes Publishing will make reasonable attempts to contact the proposed interviewees at a convenient time and in a convenient manner (via email or telephone to a UK landline number). After three attempts to try to contact each interviewee, LifetimesMAG will send an email to those who have not responded with a series of questions. At this stage, the interviewee will have a maximum of five workdays to respond to the email with the required answers.
  8. For all interviewees based outside the UK, all correspondence, including the interviews, will be conducted via email.
  9. LifetimesMAG will endeavour to respond to all email requests for further information and a call back within 24 hours on a work day.
